Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum but not a noob in the modding scene.

I just bought a new Elite today and modded it successfully.

I tried transfering my saves from my old HD to the new one but they all come up damaged when the games are loaded.

I followed all the tutorials on the site (Which are great BTW), and I can't figure out what went wrong.

Brief summary of what I did:
1. Connected the old HD to my PC and downloaded saves using Xploder
2. Connected the new 360, downloaded sample saves, and saved the Device, Console and Profile ID on Ghosti's resigner.
3. Resigned the old saves and opened them again to verify that all IDs are the same (Didn't rehash - just loaded the IDs and clicked Resign)
4. Ran them through Hash Block Calculator and they came up fine
5. Copied them to the right folders on the new 360.

The only thing that I can think of, is that maybe the problem is that my old 360 was NTSC and the new one is PAL. Could that be the case?

Can anybody else think of anything I'm doing wrong?

I'm seriously considering suicide over restarting Mass Effect2 or My Player in 2k10 from scratch

try just transfering if u are using the same gamer tag, no need to rehash and **** i just moved my saves as i have 2 xboxs and worked fine I used xport 360

No, I'm not using the same gamertag so I guess resigning is necessary.

Since my post, I also tried deleting the saves and then transferring instead of overwriting them. Failed.....

And one other totally weird thing: I transferred a working save created on the new 360 to my PC (Mass Effect 2) and ran it through the Hash Block
Calculator. The last item returned "False". WTF?!?!?!?!


Guys - please help.......

Update:

I download a savegame from another thread here and it worked fine.

This means that the problem is in the extraction from the old 360.

It's a 3-4 yr old NTSC from the first ones ever sold (I think they're called Zephyr).

Is there a known compatibility issue with these old machines?

Check the saves off your old console for flags. I had that problem a long time ago where one of my old 360's started flagging everything despite it not being console banned. Even if they aren't flagged its worth checking.

did you check what your new console/device IDs is? on a new made save
