Had mine for three months and I'm really pleased, replaced my N95 8gb which I had for over a year and although I'm not keen on apple it is very slick!
Although my N95 actually did more, can you believe you can't forward a text message on an iphone? The version 3 firmware release out in the next month or so which will give copy and paste and MMS and a lot of other stuff so it'll hopefully get a lot better. Did you know you can actually buy a totally legit sim free/ unlocked iphone 3G, not cheap though £599.99.
By the way a lot of beta testers for version 3 have been pulling the code to bits and apparently there are hints of a new hardware version buried in there?

Announced today version 3.0 software worldwide release is June 17th. They also launched the new iphone 3GS (S for Speed), Better battery life, faster processor, faster data, digital compass, better camera with video, blah blah blah. Have a look at the Apple site.

One of the best things is that Tom Tom are launching on the iphone!

I previously upgraded from EDGE on one smartphone to 3G on a new smartphone with current AT&T plan,
and they did not charge me more. Even the data plan stayed the same ($20, they do not have it any more for smartphones).

AT&T's policy is to charge $40 for unlimited data plans on the smartphones that have full QWERTY keyboard
(like Blackberry or 8525). There were some smartphones without full keyboard and the plan was $20 for them. iPhone is, of course, special.

I did not have a problem with AT&T (or Cingular) regarding upgrades with other smartphones.
