I think that a member should be established on the forum before they are allowed in the marketplace!

First off we get guys like this - 50k gs accounts for sale

First post and there just here to sell stuff.

Second it would help with the e-trust. Members who have had to wait around for a few months to be eligible to buy/sell stuff are going to be less likely to rip each other off.

Also the rep button could be used in the sales as a type of feedback system.

Yep I 6th it , but yes its a good idea especially as that guy is here just to sell.
I mod on a car forum that has over 14k members and we have rules inplace for new members when it comes to selling rights, they have to be a member for 30 days and have a post count of 50 before they are given permission to post in the for sale / marketplace section, it helps to encourage community particpation and also deters the members who join just to sell stuff.. it doesn't have to be the same though it can be set at what Admin want it to be, easy to do via the vBulletin Admin CP..

i absolutely 7th it, this is a great idea. Also that v-bulletin mod that helps prevent noobs posting in the wrong section, i have that and its great.
