I bought the wired headset and it rocks, but the wires get tangled and messy at times. i always wondered if wireless should of been the way to go.

wireless headsets are horrid i had one and it was crap i couldnt hear people properly,the sound quality was crap and echoed alot,plus the battery always died after a few hours stick to wired headsets mate

i had the official xbox wireless mic and it worked fine. the problem was that i went through 2 because their life span was about 7 months a piece.
i had the turtle beach wired headset for a long time now and it rocks. i could hear a pin drop a mile away. lol

i have the x3 and it rocks but its aa serious battery eater im gonna get rechargables

3 words: Turtle Beach X4s.

They pretty much revolutionized my gaming experience.

That the wired headsets seem to be the best option

Been looking at getting some for a while now

If you have the money, wireless works just as good...

Go with the wired, dont have to recharge is worth it alone. bad batterylife

So far, I have yet to see any wired headset that has Dolby Digital Surround Sound and also voice-chat capabilities through Live. X4's and X41 both have it.

I love my wired set. Being able to hear what direction people are approaching you from, and 1000 other things you never even noticed before...well..I'm happy. I'm sure Turtle Beaches are just that though. Wireless probably works just as well. But everyone should own a pair.
